well, some major things have changed in my life since I last posted forever ago.
1) I live in a different state
2) I live in a real city
That's about it.
So now that I'm beginning my new adventure in sweet home Alabama, I am hunting....job hunting. The process always starts out exciting thinking about all of the possible opportunities that are out there. And then like a brick wall, the reality of the economy slaps you in the face. I have called just about every clinic, school system, hospital, nursing home, etc. in the area. And nowhere seems to have a full-time speech job. There are several part-time jobs, but the only downside to that is that the majority of part-time speech, or PRN jobs do not come with benefits. Insurance is not something to be without these days, or any day for that matter. Just walking into a dr's office seems to start adding up dollars. Almost like they charge you for every minute you wait. And don't even get me started on the doc in a box...just think about going there, and you'll get a bill for it.
Anyways I completely went off track. I'm so tired of filling out job applications, and job hunting. Why isn't anything easy? ugh.
